REPORT ON THE SARA CALGARY & AREA FLEAMARKET - OCTOBER 28, 2006

The Southern Alberta Repeater Association hosted the Calgary Fleamarket with 185 people coming out to enjoy fellowship and look for some great bargains. Yours truly again set up a QCWA table with many coming by to say hello.

The next SARA Fleamarket will be in Edmonton February 3, 2007, at the Yellowhead Inn. If the weather cooperates - QCWA Wild Rose Chapter 151 plans to have a table.

FINAL REPORT ON QCWA INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION-2006

Those who thought about coming and procrastinated - surely missed out on a fun event, not to mention all the door prizes that were offered! Yes - door prizes that flowed like milk and honey from 61 sponsors who offered up some 298 door prizes! Two of those prizes were custom made cuddly teddy bears named See Qu and Aqute. They are known as the "QCWA Communication Bears" and may be found on the airways one day.

FINAL - VE6QCWA CONVENTION SPECIAL EVENT STATION

We thank the many who helped put VE6QCWA on the air for the month of September leading up to the convention. EDITORIAL

By now you will have learned that I was elected for QCWA Director for a 2 year term beginning September 1, 2006. My first official board meeting was in Calgary, during the convention, on September 28, 2006. The minutes are now posted on the QCWA web site at Board of Director's Minutes

Still Wanted... dead or alive - editor for "QCWA Wild Rose Repeater" ! It is amost 5 years since I have been editing this newsletter and believe it is time for new ideas. There must be someone amongst the rank and file who could muster doing this newsletter? I know the talent is out there (okay - who cares about talent - anybody will do!) so, think about what you can do for your chapter. Your contribution will further help to build QCWA Wild Rose Chapter 151!

Until next time...on behalf of the QCWA Wild Rose Chapter 151 Executive - best of Season Greetings to all and 'Happy Trails'!
